A behind-the-scenes look at capturing Asim Azhar’s Live Tour 2026 at Sambuca 360, from pre-show energy to cinematic concert photography and videography.
Live performances have a unique emotional effect that is hard to describe – you experience this energy right away.

The energy before a performance is wholly different than during an actual performance. You can feel it in the atmosphere…the thrill of anticipation, the dissonance of quiet activity, and the sense that something significant is going to happen within those few seconds.
That same feeling was notable at Sambuca 360 when Asim Azhar performed his concert as part of his Live Tour in 2026.

The build-up to each performance is exhilarating; there’s an electric feel in the air. The load-in crew is working quickly; backstage, the performers are getting final checks; the audience is filling the performance space, and there is a shift in the theatre’s energy from a normal performance to an electrified one.
These are the moments that I find the most exciting to capture.

This project came together as a collaboration between Rehan Siddiqui, the producer behind the show, and Agent Haq, who trusted me to document this experience in photography and video. To be able to capture an event this large was a real pleasure and an honor, but more importantly, it was about documenting the event as it happened, honestly and in real-time.

There is more to concert photography than just the entertainment. It’s about everything that surrounds it. The energy exchange between the performer and the audience, the build-up, the movement, and the little things that most people miss at the time.
Every shot is about maintaining a feeling, from the dark pre-show sequences to the intensity of the actual performance. Not only how it seemed, but also how it felt to be there.

Not a flex… just a favorite moment.
And that’s what marks these kinds of moments.
Because ultimately, it’s about recording energy, emotion, and once-in-a-lifetime moments rather than simply taking pictures.

Moments like this remind me why I do what I do.
